1998: The foundation
Tiesse was born with the development of the XB application gateway product and solutions for ATM and POS data transmission, remote reading, and industrial connectivity solutions. Already in its first year, Tiesse established itself as a reliable partner in the field of connectivity for e-money.
2004-2006: Router pioneers in Italy
2004
Tiesse designs the first routers with fixed and 2G connectivity (Imola and Lipari series) and launches Siena, the first M2M device for the gaming industry with cellular radio connection.
2005
First certified Italian router with integrated fixed/mobile connectivity. Tiesse consolidates its presence in the Telco sector with white-label volume supplies and innovative projects.
2006
Levanto, for regulated licit gaming connectivity, and Imola E modular industrial router designed for use in the primary substations of electricity distributors are born.
2012-2019: Growth and expansion
2012
Levanto series surpasses 100,000 installations in Europe. Solutions emerge with IMOLA series for Smart Grid scenarios, with Imola a flagship product for Europe's largest region-wide network.
2014-2015
Tiesse certifies the first 4G routers for business data (Lipari and Imola). Expands its presence in sectors such as gas stations, insurance, retail and large-scale distribution.
2016
Recognition as an Innovative SME.
2017
IMOLA series products with 4G connection and for FTTC profiles are born.
2018
Opens R&D center in Turin and certifies Italy's first ultrabroadband router (Imola series). Launches IoT solutions (kIoTo) and all-in-one LTE routers.
2019
With more than 200,000 devices sold, Tiesse starts internationalization to North America and LATAM. Starts production for OEM customers of industrial equipment for vertical sectors for the international market.
From 2020 to the present: Innovation and sustainability
2020-2021
Launches advanced routers (Levanto 520, Imola SGR) and EDGE industrial gateways (TGR series). Plants 1,000 trees with the “1000 trees in Italy” project and develops the first 5G-connected devices.
2022-2023
Expansion of 5G solutions, with certifications for industrial environments and new research projects such as I-Fasenet. Among the founders of the RESTART Foundation “RESearch and innovation on future Telecommunications systems and networks, to make Italy more smart” the most important public research and development program ever in Italy in the Telecommunications sector.
2024
Tiesse introduces 5G connectivity and fiber up to 10 Gbps for FTTH/FTTO profiles.
